At your consultation, I'll explain a bit about the process of electrolysis, what to expect from treatments, and answer any questions you have.
I’ll ask you to fill in a wee bit of paperwork, and we’ll discuss any relevant health conditions and access needs.I'll treat a small area as a test patch and we'll discuss the aftercare guidelines and work out a treatment plan for you.

Yes please!
For a consultation, I’ll need at least two or three days growth across the area to be treated. This is necessary for your assessment, treatment plan and test patch.
Any hairs to be treated will need to be at least 2mm long. Each hair, once treated, is removed with tweezers, so hairs need to be long enough to grip. The amount of time that you need to wait will vary from person to person, so I ask that you leave at least two days growth for your consultation and we'll discuss it from there.
If you have longer hairs you want treating, they will need to be trimmed to provide a clearer view for my assessment and a more efficient treatment. -
Electrolysis can be used to treat most areas of the body.
This can include the face, arms, legs, chest, back, bikini line, fingers, toes and genital areas.
I can provide specific pre-surgical treatment to your surgeon's specifications. -
Electrolysis can be uncomfortable, but this varies from person to person.
I’ve had clients who are more sensitive to treatment and clients who say they find their sessions relaxing. I think I fell somewhere in the middle during my own treatments!
During your consultation, we’ll work together to find a machine setting that works for you, and I’ll make every effort to make you as comfortable as possible during treatments.

While I created Electrolysis by Siobhan with trans people in mind, specifically reducing barriers to treatment that are more common for trans people, I’m also happy to treat cis people who want to support my wee business!

Yes!
Hair of all colours and types can be treated effectively with electrolysis! Unlike laser treatments which is more effective for people with darker hair/lighter skin, electrolysis is suitable for all hair and skin combinations! -
